Morris “Moe” Thompson’s involvement in bowling began in the mid-50’s. His accomplishments have been as a player, coach, and administrator.
He bowled in various leagues at both the competitive and recreational levels, including the City Mens’ League, and the Major Bowling League.
Moe won just about every category for individual achievement in every league in which he participated, including best average, high double, and high triple.
He dedicated many years to the Youth Bowling Council as a coach and administrator. He coached teams from the City which competed successfully at the Zone, Provincial, and National Championships.
He also coached at the Ontario Winter Games as well as EOSSA and AOSSA Championships.
In 1968, Moe was awarded the Cornwall Lions Club Sports Award for bowling.
