The turn of the century was the golden era for lacrosse. Cornwall, the World’s Champion of the time, was known as the Lacrosse Capital of the World. Aeneas Evan “Reddy” MacMillan contributed a large part in the success of this great Cornwall team.
As a teenager, Mr. MacMillan began his career with the Cornwall team playing with older and equally outstanding players such as Billy Burns, John White, and the Degan and Cummings brothers.
As a great track sprinter, his speed made him one of the most feared offensive threats on the team and in the league.
Mr. MacMillan excelled at hockey with the Cornwall Seniors in the O.H.A. He played professional hockey in the International League with Pittsburg and the Michigan Calumets. Following a stay with the team from Sault Ste. Marie, he finished his hockey career with the Champion Renfrew Millionaires.
