James (Jimmy) McDonald

James “Jimmy” McDonald was active along with Joe St. Denis with Our Citizens of Tommorrow (O.C.O.T.) sports program.

During the 60’s Jimmy was Vice-President of the Cornwall Minor Hockey Association. He was also Legion Representative for Cornwall Minor Hockey District “G” Pee-Wee House League.

Jimmy was also very active in the sport of baseball. He was President and Director of the Cornwall Minor Baseball Association from the 60’s to the 80’s. He was Legion Representative for Cornwall Minor Baseball.

He was an active coach with C.M.B.A and C.M.H.A. from 1950’s to 1980’s.

He coached such hockey players as Doug Carpenter, Orval Tessier, Billy Sloan, and Eddy Rowe.

In the 1980’s, Jimmy was recognized along with his four sons for dedication and contribution to Cornwall Minor baseball.

Along with his brothers, John Angus and Donald, he is a founding member of the Cornwall Sports Hall of Fame.
