Dalton (Dalt) Wells

A product of the OCOT system, Dalton “Dalt” Wells was an all-around athlete in several sports.
He started in 1948 as a Pee Wee, and progressed through Bantam and Midget ranks in both baseball and hockey.
A first baseman, this “south paw” was a master with the glove, and excelled in the batting area as a consistent 300 hitter.
Dalt played for the North End Social Club (1952), Brookshell Motors (1953), and then the Howard Smith Paper Mill [Domtar] (1954-64) winning five league Championships with latter team.
In 1966 and 1967, he was a member of the Champion Glengarry Transport team, and then won another Championship with Domtar in 1969.
Dalt played football with CCVS, and Emards of the Quebec Rugby Football Union; and hockey with the Falcons, Colts, and Domtar.
