Rudolph Rudy (Breezy) Filion

Rudolph Rudy “Breezy” Filion, born in 1927, was on the OCOT Juveniles in 1945 winning the Ottawa District title.

He was also a member of the Cornwall Falcons in 1947 in the Allan Cup playdowns. He then went to Seattle and the Tacoma Rockets.

Breezy was up and around the top of the league in scoring for some years, one year scoring 45 goals and 29 assists for 74 points.

He played with Jersey City in 1965 and then Philadelphia. He had a total of 833 goals and assists in 845 games. He was given a testimonial dinner in Seattle where he received a car and many other gifts for his family.

He was inducted into the Seattle Hockey Hall of Fame.
