Margaret Hollister who was born March 26, 1910 was probably Cornwall’s greatest track star.

She was the United Counties Champion at the Canadian Legion meets in 1930-31 and 32. She starred in the 100 and 220 yard sprint events.

Leigh Miller’s coach, Mr. Anderson, wanted to take Margaret to Hamilton to complete in the British Empire Games because she equaled Stella Walsh’s time in the 220-yard dash.

Margaret coached ladies softball teams also.

She died June 2, 1985.
