Douglas “Doug” J. Webster, born in 1923, was an outstanding athlete, a clever catcher with a good throwing arm, and a very fast base runner.

Doug coached the O.C.O.T. to the City and District Softball Championship in 1945. He carried a lot of drive and team spirit.

He was also a smart hockey player, and lacrosse player.

He was on the O.C.O.T. Ontario Bantam Lacrosse Champions in 1938, and was also a track and field star.

Doug played his hockey with Philadelphia, and Brockville, and many Cornwall teams.
