Earl Stanley Whitney, born in 1913, was another of Cornwall’s great track stars.

He won the 100-yard dash, the 220, the running broad jump, the 120 hurdles, and the 440-yard dash. He also starred in the shot put. He won the Canadian Legion Aggregate Trophy in 1932. He won 12 cups, 2 plaques, and 29 medals.

He also played hockey as a part of his marvelous sports record.
