Dalton “Dot” Phelan, who was born in 1891, joined the Cornwall lacrosse team that was a member of the National Lacrosse Union. Dalton was an integral part of this team which became known as one of the top teams in the country.
Dalton moved to Toronto where he displayed his stick handling and scoring ability.
He, like so many other lacrosse greats of his time, was also an excellent hockey player, playing for Cornwall and district teams.
