Harold Francis Tyo, born in 1925, came from a boxing family. His father and mother and three brothers all enjoyed the fights.
Harold had 48 bouts; he won 37 by decision and 6 by knockouts. He lost 5. He fought in Hamilton, Toronto, Brockville, and Cornwall, as well as Massena, Watertown and Montreal. He was never knocked out in his boxing career.
Harold fought in the Korean War and was wounded in both legs.
In addition to boxing, Harold participated in hockey, track and field as well as marathons.
