Vincent “Vince” Tyo, born in Cornwall in 1927, began his boxing career in 1946, boxing at the 126 lbs weight category.
He won the Golden Gloves in 1947 and the Eastern Ontario title in 1949 in the 147 lbs division.
Vince ended his career in 1950 after approximately 75 fights winning 40 by decision including 28 KOs. He also recorded 7 losses. He was never knocked out.
Vince was an employee of Courtaulds Canada Limited.
